On Friday 13th September 2019, over 4,000 SEO professionals arrived in the seaside town of Brighton to be part of BrightonSEO. The popular SEO event is described by organisers as a place to ‘meet, learn, and do the job better’ and it’s certainly more popular than ever in 2019. Attracting experts and organisations from across Europe and around the globe, it aims to strip away the cliches and provide honest, innovative insights into what is shaping the world of SEO today. This month’s line-up included sessions on AI, the future of SEO, age diversity in marketing, and building the perfect product landing page.
Dominic explained how a buzzing atmosphere and international outlook made this one of the most engaging events yet:
“It’s always a fantastic atmosphere at Brighton SEO, the crowd seemed bigger than ever this time and everyone was keen to learn. There were lots of people connecting with speakers after the talks and looking for advice and tips. One topic that came up in a number of sessions was the international nature of SEO and the importance of linguists in the process. It’s vital that organisations moving into new markets utilise a native speaker to accurately translate campaigns. The results of a poorly translated strapline or messaging can have a catastrophic effect. I thought this was a fascinating learning point.”
While Harrison spoke about the wide range of digital marketing tools on display:
“It’s always a great buzz at Brighton SEO, everyone there is very engaged and keen to learn about the latest industry news and ways of working. It’s a huge venue and there is always a wide range of digital marketing tools on display on the bottom floor. I was impressed by some of the newest outreach tools that were being talked about, and it’s great to connect with so many people who are incredibly engaged with the work they do.”
