The Role
This is a hybrid Senior Developer / Tech Lead position within a team building modern web frontend applications for ATC management software. You'll take a central role in shaping the technical roadmap, own architecture and detailed design decisions, and mentor junior developers — all while working closely with backend teams and architects to keep the wider system landscape consistent and scalable.

The Role

You'll take a central role in shaping the technical roadmap, own architecture and detailed design decisions, and mentor junior developers — all while working closely with backend teams and architects to keep the wider system landscape consistent and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Tech Lead / Senior Developer, shaping technical product direction within the development team
- Lead frontend development for a mission-critical ATC management software suite
- Drive technical conception, software architecture, and detailed design work
- Align cross-cutting target architecture with fellow architects for a consistent system landscape
- Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and long-term viability of applications
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate closely with backend teams to deliver integrated, high-performance solutions
- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies (refinements, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Continuously improve development processes, standards, and best practices
- Very good knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and Angular
- Several years of software development experience, ideally with prior Senior Developer or Tech Lead responsibility
- Practical experience with containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipelines as a standard, natural part of your delivery workflow
- Strong focus on code quality — code analysis, unit testing, sustainable QA practices
- Confident communication in both German and English (written and spoken)
- Degree in Computer Science (strong grade) or equivalent demonstrable experience
Nice to Have
- Frontend test automation experience, ideally with Playwright
- Practical Scrum experience and a genuine team-player mindset with interest in mentoring
