Senior AI Engineer – Enterprise LLM Strategy – Munich We are hiring two experienced AI Engineers (m/f/d) to support a nationally significant German technology organisation operating within a highly secure and regulated R&D environment.
This position offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide AI strategy at scale within a company that plays a critical role in Germany’s technology and security landscape.
The contract is initially 24 months (AÜG), with strong potential for long-term extension depending on performance and project development.

Key Skills – AI Engineer (LLM / Multi-Agent / RAG)
  • Several years of professional software engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot Enterprise
  • Hands-on experience with Cursor IDE
  • Deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) (Anthropic / Claude, OpenAI)
  • Experience building Multi-Agent Systems (AutoGPT, LangChain)
  • Strong experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Experience with Cloud AI Services and On-Premise AI Architectures
  • Strong understanding of AI security, compliance, data classification, and IP protection
  • Business Fluent German (mandatory)
Responsibilities – Enterprise AI Engineer Munich Enterprise AI Tooling Roadmap
  • Develop and implement a company-wide AI strategy
  • Define when to use Copilot, Cursor, Cloud AI services, or On-Premise solutions
  • Establish governance and best practices for AI deployment
LLM Architecture & Multi-Agent Systems
  • Design and deploy scalable LLM-based solutions
  • Build and optimise multi-agent AI architectures
  • Implement enterprise-grade RAG frameworks
AI Cost Optimisation & Governance
  • Prevent redundant AI calls and inefficient API usage
  • Manage exponential AI cost growth
  • Implement responsible AI deployment standards
Business & Stakeholder Interface
  • Translate business AI requirements into technical solutions
  • Act as AI subject matter expert across departments
  • Support enablement and AI training initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Senior AI Engineer / LLM Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer
  • Experience in regulated, defence, telecom, aerospace, or safety-critical environments is advantageous
  • Strong communicator with business acumen
  • Independent, self-driven, and comfortable operating in evolving AI landscapes
  • Security- and compliance-focused mindset
