Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for Communication Systems (FCAS) to join our client’s Berlin team. This role offers hands-on systems engineering experience in aerospace and defense, focusing on communication architectures, requirements management, and system integration. Remote work is possible up to 60%.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor system and subsystem architectures for complex communication systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and specialists to define use cases and system requirements
- Manage the full lifecycle of requirements: capture, analysis, validation, and traceability
- Lead interdisciplinary coordination for the development and implementation of technical solutions
- Conduct system analyses, evaluate architectural alternatives, and validate system features
- Perform risk analysis and assessment of system properties
- Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) of systems and components
- Document system requirements, specifications, and project status reports
- Technical degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven experience in systems engineering for complex technical systems
- Knowledge of MBSE, DOORS, Jira, and project management methods
- Experience with modern radio communication systems is an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Structured, solution-oriented, and highly responsible working style
- Business-fluent German and English (negotiation level)
- Work on nationally and strategically important defense programmes
- Gain exposure to multiple long-term projects
- Engage in cutting-edge communication systems and aerospace technologies
