We are supporting a globally recognised engineering and technology organisation operating at the forefront of advanced aerospace, defence, and power systems. They are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a major enterprise SaaS platform programme within a highly secure environment.

This role will be instrumental in designing end-to-end architectures and ensuring new platforms integrate securely and effectively within a complex enterprise landscape.
As a Solution Architect, you will assess the current technology landscape and produce high-level architectural designs that enable secure and scalable SaaS platform implementations. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for assessing the organisation’s technical landscape, architectural constraints, security policies, and integration readiness, and translating these into a clear end-to-end high-level solution architecture (HLD). This will include application architecture covering logical components, interactions, and deployment models, integration architecture covering APIs, protocols and data flows, hosting and connectivity across cloud and hybrid environments, and identity integration including SSO, MFA and federation.

You will also define architectural patterns, standards, and best practices aligned with enterprise architecture principles, while providing guidance on platform security configuration, access control, RBAC, and segregation of duties. In addition, you will support delivery, development, hosting and operations teams in understanding how the platform should be configured to meet business and security requirements.

The role will involve defining SSO architecture and identity integration approaches where applicable, as well as producing integration specifications and interface contracts covering format, protocol, authentication, and error handling. You will also play a key role in vendor evaluation and technology selection, providing structured technical analysis and architectural recommendations to support procurement decisions.

Experience required includes proven work as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments, strong experience producing high-level designs and end-to-end solution architectures, and hands-on knowledge of SaaS platform implementations and enterprise integration. You will have strong experience in Identity and Access Management, including SSO, MFA, federation and RBAC, alongside experience working across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. Strong stakeholder management skills across engineering, security, and operations teams are essential.

Active SC Clearance is required for this role.
This is a hybrid role based in the Midlands, offering up to £750 per day (Inside IR35), with an initial 6-month contract and immediate start available.
