Our client is seeking an experienced Requirements Specialist (m/f/d) with strong expertise in Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications systems to join a high-impact engineering environment in Munich.
This position is ideal for a Senior Systems Engineer / Requirements Engineer with deep experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), SysML, ATC use cases, safety and security standards, and complex communications architectures. This is not an entry-level role.

Our client is seeking an experienced Requirements Specialist (m/f/d) with strong expertise in Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications systems to join a high-impact engineering environment in Munich.
This position is ideal for a Senior Systems Engineer / Requirements Engineer with deep experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), SysML, ATC use cases, safety and security standards, and complex communications architectures. This is not an entry-level role.
Your Responsibilities – Requirements Engineering & ATC Systems As Requirements Specialist, you will:
- Specify and design complex ATC communications systems
- Translate customer requirements into technical system solutions
- Derive the impact of new safety and security standards at product level
- Develop and analyse use cases, functional chains, and system interfaces
- Work across internal stakeholders including Sales, R&D, Product Management, Project Management, and Security/Safety teams
- Define and execute verification, validation (V&V), and acceptance strategies
- Ensure system performance and compliance at customer sites
- Maintain a holistic view of system architecture within the ATC/SDR domain
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar
- Strong experience in Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems
- Solid understanding of ATC use cases and functional chains
- Hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Proficiency in SysML
- Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, JAMA)
- Experience with MBSE & modelling tools (CAMEO, Enterprise Architect)
- Business fluent German (mandatory)
- English (professional working proficiency)
- Experience with product safety & system security standards
- Background in SDR (Software Defined Radio) communications
- Experience in safety-critical environments
- Location: Munich, Germany
- Up to 40% home office
- 40 hours per week
- Contract until 30 June 2027 (maximum 24 months, extension possible)
- Security clearance: Regular (no nationality restrictions)
- No NfD briefing required
