Position Overview
As a Security Architect / Specialist (m/f/d), you will design, evaluate, and implement security architectures for cutting-edge technologies and products. You’ll work cross-functionally with development teams to ensure compliance with ISO27001, NIS-2, and emerging EU cybersecurity regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act and Radio Equipment Directive.
This position combines technical architecture design with risk management and compliance expertise, offering a key role in protecting mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate product architectures and concepts with respect to security, approval, and certification requirements.
• Define and validate security measures to achieve defined security goals.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, deriving specific security requirements.
• Implement security measures at the concept and architecture level.
• Support and enable developers in integrating security requirements effectively.
• Apply and maintain information security standards according to ISO27001 and NIS-2 across all project stages.
• Ensure compliance with EU security regulations (Data Act, Cyber Resilience Act, Radio Equipment Directive).
• Contribute to approval and certification processes under recognized frameworks (e.g., Common Criteria, BSI IT-Grundschutz).

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in Cyber/IT Security (minimum 3 years).
• Practical experience with BSI IT-Grundschutz and Common Criteria security processes (must have).
• Deep understanding of EU cybersecurity and data protection regulations (Data Act, Cyber Resilience Act, RED).
• Hands-on experience in ISO27001 and NIS-2 implementation.
• Experience in security approval and certification processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and process-oriented work approach.
• Excellent communication skills in German (C1+) and working knowledge of English.
• Not suitable for career starters — this role requires prior hands-on experience in secure product development environments.

Salary Expectation

• Mid-level candidates (3–5 years of experience): €75,000 – €90,000 gross per year.
• Senior candidates (5+ years of experience): €90,000 – €100,000 gross per year, depending on expertise in security architecture design, certification, and compliance.
