We're supporting one of the UK's most recognisable media and entertainment organisations as they continue a major technology transformation programme across their enterprise estate.

As part of this journey, they are seeking an experienced Group Technology Project Manager to lead a business-critical Identity & Access Management (IAM) Modernisation initiative. This programme will play a key role in strengthening security, resilience, and operational effectiveness across a complex, large-scale technology environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused Project Manager with strong infrastructure experience and a proven track record of leading enterprise-wide transformation programmes involving Active Directory, cloud services, and identity management technologies.

The Role
You will take ownership of a strategic Identity & Access Management modernisation project, leading the implementation of a controlled cloud-based Domain Controller capability and managing the programme through planning, delivery, testing, rollout, and operational transition.
Working closely with internal technology teams, security specialists, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers, you will ensure successful delivery while maintaining operational stability across critical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of an enterprise-wide Identity & Access Management modernisation programme.
  • Drive the successful implementation of a controlled cloud-based Domain Controller capability.
  • Manage the project lifecycle from initiation through to enterprise rollout and operational handover.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, dependencies, budgets, resources, and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure business continuity and minimise operational risk throughout implementation.
  • Oversee project governance, reporting, RAID management, change control, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure production-ready recovery testing is successfully completed ahead of high-risk Active Directory changes.
  • Monitor project performance across cost, quality, scope, timelines, and resource utilisation, taking corrective action where required.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple technology teams, suppliers, and service partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Manage project dependencies and risks within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed to agreed standards and formally accepted by key stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams.
  • Adapt plans and priorities as required in response to changing business and technical requirements.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' Project Management experience delivering enterprise technology and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale transformation programmes within complex organisations.
  • Strong background delivering infrastructure migration projects.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory migration or modernisation programmes is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering Identity & Access Management, directory services, or cloud infrastructure initiatives.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managed service providers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Experience working closely with technical delivery teams, architects, infrastructure specialists, and security professionals.
  • Excellent planning, governance, risk management, and delivery management capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive within fast-paced, evolving environments and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience managing both onsite and remote project teams.
CertificationsEssential
  • PMP and/or PRINCE2 Certification
Desirable
  • Agile Project Management Accreditation
  • Experience or accreditation in Google Workspace environments
  • Relevant Identity & Access Management or Infrastructure certifications
Why Apply?
  • Opportunity to lead a high-profile enterprise security and infrastructure transformation programme.
  • Work with one of the UK's best-known media and entertainment brands.
  • Long-term 12-month engagement.
  • Outside IR35 contract.
  • Flexible day rate for exceptional candidates.
  • Hybrid working with offices in London and Manchester.
  • Exposure to senior technology leadership and strategic transformation initiatives.
If you're an experienced Technology Project Manager with strong infrastructure delivery expertise and experience leading Identity & Access Management or Active Directory transformation programmes, we'd love to hear from you.
