We are seeking an experienced Lead Packaging Engineer to take ownership of the end-to-end application packaging lifecycle across physical and virtual Windows desktop environments.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on defining standards, improving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and driving quality across application packaging and deployment.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Packaging Engineer to take ownership of the end-to-end application packaging lifecycle across physical and virtual Windows desktop environments.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on defining standards, improving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and driving quality across application packaging and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full packaging lifecycle (discovery → testing → UAT → production).
- Define and enforce packaging standards, QA controls, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure consistency across physical and virtual Windows desktop estates.
- Maintain and optimise packaging and deployment toolsets.
- Drive process improvements and team efficiencies.
- Support complex packaging requirements and strategic deployment decisions.
- Manage application lifecycle control (version currency, retirement, licensing compliance).
- Collaborate with Architecture, PMO, operational teams and business stakeholders.
- Lead and support team members in delivering high-quality packages within SLA.
- Strong experience in Windows application packaging (physical & VDI environments).
- Experience with MDM technologies for software deployment.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows desktop OS and Microsoft client technologies.
- Active Directory & Group Policy expertise.
- Experience with profile management tools.
- Scripting capability (e.g. PowerShell).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience working within ITIL processes.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
