Summary
Join a leading hospitality technology organisation using AI to help operators stay perfectly staffed as demand changes by the hour.
We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of the data infrastructure and pipelines powering analytics, forecasting and production machine learning.
Location: Camden, London (office-first, 4 days/week on-site) | Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours)

The Role

  • Be a core technical owner of the data platform, ensuring reliable, high-quality data from ingestion to production use cases
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and the infrastructure behind them
  • Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering and Product to improve performance, scalability and operational reliability
  • Help shape best practices and mentor others through reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build and maintain data pipelines and workflows that keep data accurate, timely and trustworthy
  • Deploy and support production ML systems (including forecasting and LLM-driven workflows) with monitoring, versioning and CI/CD
  • Maintain and improve an AWS-native data platform (e.g., S3, Redshift, RDS, Athena, SageMaker, Lambda)
  • Write and optimise complex SQL for analytics, reporting, modelling and downstream BI use
  • Build and maintain integrations with internal services and partner systems to enable clean, scalable access to data
  • Diagnose and resolve production data issues, improving resilience and reducing operational toil
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into practical, scalable data solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong data engineering fundamentals: pipeline design, orchestration, testing and monitoring
  • Production-quality Python and advanced SQL skills
  • Experience running machine learning systems in production, including model serving and monitoring
  • Comfort working across cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and an understanding of platform/DevOps principles
  • A pragmatic, ownership-driven approach: you’re happy to dive into problems, unblock others and keep systems running smoothly
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where you can have meaningful impact

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS services commonly used in modern data platforms (e.g., Redshift, Athena, SageMaker, Lambda)
  • Prior experience supporting analytics and ML teams with data modelling and reliable datasets
  • Mentoring experience (formal or informal)

Package

  • Salary: up to £120,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Private medical insurance
  • Office gym membership
  • Equity/ownership shares
  • Dog-friendly office
  • Snacks and fruit in the office; dinner provided when working late
  • Regular team breakfasts and lunches
  • Work style: office-first, 4 days/week in Camden, London
