We are currently seeking an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with our customers, transforming operational workflows into innovative AI-powered solutions. The Role
- Collaborate with logistics teams, understand their workflows, and convert complex challenges into clear system designs
- Develop fast, reliable AI-powered tools using Node.js and TypeScript
- Integrate with enterprise ecosystems such as ERP, TMS, SFTP, and event queues to build robust data pipelines
- Contribute to shaping product development and technical strategy alongside the founding team
- Travel to key customer accounts across Europe and Asia as part of the deployment process
What You’ll Do
- Act as the bridge between customer pain points and product solutions
- Build scalable backend systems and tooling to handle messy, real-world data
- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems and manage pipelines for operational data
- Support product decisions with technical insights
- Travel to client sites in Europe and Asia to deliver hands-on deployment and support
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in early-stage environments, taking full ownership of outcomes
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript and Node.js; React experience is a plus
- Experience with APIs, external system integrations, and enterprise data management
- Ability to design scalable backend infrastructure and familiarity with cloud platforms (Docker, Terraform, GCP or AWS)
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness to travel and engage directly with customers
Nice to Have
- Experience with GenAI/LLM architectures such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), evaluation, and orchestration
Package
- Salary: €130,000 per annum
- Location: Berlin preferred, hybrid setup possible
- Work style: Permanent, 40 hours per week
