The Role
  • Data Modelling & Transformation: Design and optimise data models for reporting, analytics, and visualisation. Use dbt to turn raw data into clean, tested, and well-documented models that underpin BI and analytics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, software engineers, and product teams to understand business needs and deliver data models that support both analytics and operations.
  • Data Quality & Validation: Champion data quality by implementing testing and validation processes. Collaborate with source teams to improve upstream data reliability.
  • KPI & Metric Definition: Partner with stakeholders to define and evolve KPIs that align with business goals. Ensure leadership and teams have consistent, high-quality insights.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Support analysts using Power BI and help structure a single semantic layer for scalable, self-serve analytics.
  • Documentation & Enablement: Keep data model documentation clear and up to date. Share knowledge and support data literacy across the business.
Your Profile
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data engineering roles.
  • Strong SQL skills and solid data modelling fundamentals (dbt a plus).
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Comfortable using the command line; Docker experience is a bonus.
  • Proactive mindset with solid business acumen and excellent communication.
eenefits
  • Remote-first setup: Work from home or abroad (up to 6 months a year).
  • Own your time: Organise your workday your way - we trust you to get things done. Office locations: Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg, London and more
  • Free learning: Enjoy access to all IU platforms, plus funding for a tech course of your choice.
  • Sustainable benefits: Get a heavily discounted DeutschlandTicket or Jobrad for eco-friendly travel.
  • 33 days off: Recharge with 30 vacation days, your birthday off, plus Christmas & New Year’s Eve.
