Data Governance Analyst
Join a growing data team helping to build innovative machine learning and AI services, with strong governance embedded from day one. You’ll work closely with data scientists, engineers, architects and analysts, shaping how data is managed responsibly across the organisation.
Partnering with a central governance lead, you’ll help define and implement enterprise-wide data governance standards, working alongside risk, privacy, legal and infosec teams. This is a hands-on role with real influence across data lifecycle management, AI governance, and modern cloud platforms.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Providing pragmatic data governance advice across the business
  • Designing and implementing governance processes and controls
  • Owning key data governance deliverables and outcomes
  • Curating and maintaining core data artefacts (catalogues, lineage, dictionaries, data flows)
  • Working closely with architects and AI teams on governed data and GenAI product design
  • Supporting governance training, awareness, and data literacy initiatives
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong, everyday hands-on use of SQL — this is essential
  • Experience manipulating and analysing data using SQL in a production environment
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks or Snowflake, ideally AWS)
  • Python experience for data manipulation and reporting
  • Familiarity with data quality, profiling and governance tooling (Unity Catalog a plus)
  • Interest in AI, GenAI governance and emerging guardrails
  • Strong stakeholder skills and a collaborative mindset
No sponsorship. London hybrid role.
