About Us
We are a growing sports data consultancy expanding our data science function. We specialise in transforming raw sporting data into clear, actionable insights that help clubs, organisations, and partners make smarter, evidence-based decisions.
This role focuses on football, delivering innovative data-driven solutions that support performance analysis, recruitment, and strategic decision-making. Our team combines technical excellence with deep sporting insight, ensuring that what we build is rigorous, practical, and impactful. We’re now looking for talented individuals who want to push the boundaries of how data can shape the future of football.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced data science and statistical modelling techniques to extract meaningful insights from football data.
  • Build models and frameworks to profile players and teams, capturing styles of play, strengths, weaknesses, and tactical patterns.
  • Develop football-specific performance metrics (e.g., progressive passing value, ball retention efficiency, duel outcomes under pressure).
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including coaches, scouts, analysts, and traders.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong programming experience in Python with excellent data manipulation skills (pandas/polars).
  • Solid statistical or machine-learning background, with experience applying these techniques to football data.
  • Hands-on experience with events and/or tracking data.
  • Understanding of advanced football analytics (e.g., possession value models).
  • A genuine passion for football, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with club-facing teams.
