Senior Automation QA Engineer

A Senior Network Engineer is required by a Financial Trading organisation on a 12 month contract. The role comprises the design and delivery of high performance network infrastructure based on Arista and Cisco and would suit an engineer with an automation mindset. The engagement transacts via a leading technology consulting organisation. Scope:  •⁠ ⁠Implementing and maintaining scalable and resilient data center network infrastructure, built on Cisco and Arista technologies •⁠ ⁠Leading troubleshooting and break/fix efforts for complex enterprise network issues involving routing, switching, firewalls and WAN infrastructure •⁠ ⁠Automating operational tasks, using tools such as Git, Ansible, Python and Jinja2 •⁠ ⁠Implementing and managing WAN networks using IOS-XR, segment routing and multitenant design principles •⁠ ⁠Monitoring and proactively managing the health and performance of a global network infrastructure, using modern telemetry and observability tools •⁠ ⁠Supporting and operating Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD practices for network provisioning •⁠ ⁠Collaborating with the Network Engineering team to deliver high-quality designs and ensuring the successful roll-out of strategic initiatives •⁠ ⁠Working closely with Data Center, Security and DevOps teams to ensure alignment on infrastructure goals and configurations •⁠ ⁠Mentoring and coaching junior team members; promoting knowledge sharing and documentation across the team •⁠ ⁠Conducting regular network audits and ensuring compliance with internal standards and best practices • Backgroud and experience: •⁠ ⁠Proven experience operating and engineering large-scale enterprise or data center networks •⁠ ⁠Strong expertise in Cisco and Arista hardware and software platforms, including IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS and EOS •⁠ ⁠In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN and MPLS technologies •⁠ ⁠Practical experience in WAN technologies, including SD-WAN, segment routing and multitenancy environments. •⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge in scripting and automation and familiarity with tools like Python, Ansible, Jinja2 and Git •⁠ ⁠Strong diagnostic skills, including packet analysis and performance tuning •⁠ ⁠Experience with network monitoring tools and predictive analysis systems •⁠ ⁠Demonstrated ability to work in Agile and DevOps-oriented environments

Senior Network Engineer (Arista, Cisco, Python)

An IT Solutions Provider are looking for a Mac Engineer. Their end client for this requirement is a finacial services firm based in Central London, their office is state of the art and fitted out with the latest and greatest Apple tech! They are looking for an onsite L1 Mac Engineer to support the 120 users onsite.    The work will involve floorwalking and helping users with day to day needs - checking meeting rooms are set up correctly, supporting mac laptops onsite, helping with cabling, even their coffee machine is linked to an iPad so making sure that is working ok! Other tasks will include maintaining inventory and helping with JML processes. They want someone who can face off to the customer and keep users happy - you won't be expected to have to solve everything - but you would need to be L1 and escalate to the relevant people at who provide a managed service to this customer.    The tech stack is Apple / Mac for laptops, monitors, iPads and meeting room TV's - The wider stack is Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace and Okta - if you've got any existing skills/exposure that would help get you up and running quickly.
