An established service provider in the financial sector is currently seeking an experienced IT System Administrator (m/f/d) on a freelance basis to support and enhance their Microsoft and AWS-based infrastructure. The role involves a mix of operational excellence, strategic oversight, and hands-on technical support across cloud environments.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and develop the Microsoft-based IT infrastructure (Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, Windows, M365)
  
  
• Manage Identity & Access Management across the entire IT landscape
  
  
• Handle AWS configuration and operations (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3)
  
  
• Coordinate software rollout processes and create technical specifications
  
  
• Define and enforce network and security standards
  
  
• Oversee and guide a managed service provider handling basic IT operations
  
  
• Provide 2nd-level support and occasional 1st-level troubleshooting (e.g., O365)
  
  
• Contribute to infrastructure projects such as migrations or integrations
  
  
• Document system architecture and operational procedures
  
  

Your Profile:

• Completed IT training or equivalent qualification
  
  
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Intune, Windows Server, Entra ID, M365)
  
  
• Solid understanding of AWS (IAM, EC2, S3, networking)
  
  
• Experienced in hybrid cloud setups and working with multiple service providers
  
  
• Strong expertise in identity & access management and endpoint security
  
  
• Familiarity with software deployment and distribution strategies
  
  
• Confident in defining operational and compliance standards
  
  
• Based in Germany or able to work onsite in Berlin occasionally if required
