What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript)
- Execute automated tests covering functionality, performance, and security
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test requirements and create effective, scalable test plans
- Analyse results, log/track defects, and ensure timely issue resolution with engineering
- Enhance and optimise existing Playwright automation frameworks
- Conduct regression testing to maintain feature integrity
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Keep up-to-date with automation trends and contribute to QA process improvement
- Implement automation strategies across functional, regression, and smoke testing
- Continuously evaluate and improve test coverage and efficiency
- Provide occasional manual testing support for new features
- Mentor and guide Manual QA Engineers towards automation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- 3+ years’ experience in test automation for web applications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript or TypeScript preferred)
- Proficient in at least one language: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Selenium, Cypress a plus
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- API testing experience using Postman, RestAssured, or similar
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices
