Job Title: Robot Maintenance Support Technician – Contract (Hybrid, London)
Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3–6 Months
Start Date: Immediate
Join a global leader in innovation — one whose robotics projects are transforming how the world works. We're looking for a Robot Maintenance Support Technician to support the daily operations and health of an advanced robotic fleet within a fast-paced R&D lab in London.
This is a hands-on contract role ideal for someone with 1–3 years' experience in a technical support or technician setting, especially if you’ve had exposure to robotics or automation systems — even in academic or early-career environments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Maintain robotic fleet health by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving both hardware and software issues
  • Develop and assess workflows to identify and solve previously unknown technical problems
  • Perform code repository tasks: create local changes, submit/review CLs (changelists), and support configuration tracking
  • Keep the robotic fleet database accurate by updating hardware statuses, assigning notes, and managing check-in/out workflows
  • Assist in creating onboarding and training documentation for new team members
  • Participate in and contribute to Monthly Business Reviews
Key Technologies & Skills:
  • Hands-on: Soldering, crimping, cable harnessing
  • Diagnosing and replacing faulty hardware components
  • Experience with robot test benches and simulation environments
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Strong documentation and communication habits
What We’re Looking For:
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a technical support, robotics, or technician role
  • Exposure to robotic systems – professional, academic, or hobbyist
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage technical logs and documentation
  • Eagerness to work in a hybrid R&D lab setting, solving real-world robotics challenges
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience at the intersection of robotics and innovation, supporting a team whose work shapes products used by billions globally.
