Location: Remote / Hybrid (UK preferred)

We are seeking a highly skilled Python/AWS Developer to join a strategic project within a global energy initiative. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team within a multinational consultancy, supporting a major energy and services provider known for its innovation and customer reach across the globe.

Role Overview As a Python/AWS Developer, you’ll design, build, and configure applications tailored to complex business processes. Acting as a subject matter expert, you’ll collaborate across multiple teams, contribute to technical decisions, and drive impactful solutions. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a dynamic trading environment, enhancing applications that support risk management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative application solutions that improve user experience and meet sophisticated business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical implementations.
  • Implement coding and application design best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance application performance and reliability.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Expert proficiency in Python (Programming Language)
  • Strong experience with Amazon API Gateway
  • Proven knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing
  • Familiarity with Commodity Trading Risk Management
  • Experience in AWS DevOps & Development
Nice to Have
  • Background in enterprise-level trading or financial platforms
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
