Overview:
My client, a global financial services organisation seeking an experienced Compute / Server Engineer with expertise in designing and building compute environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technically complex settings and understands the critical performance requirements of high-stake and complex enviornments. You’ll be responsible for ensuring system scalability, reliability, and speed across mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, and Archiytect compute infrastructure tailored to high-performance and secure operational environments.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with teams across infrastructure, development, and operations to deliver integrated solutions.
  
  
• Continuously assess and improve system performance through tuning, capacity planning, and resource management.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within compute environments to ensure minimal downtime and system resilience.
  
  
• Embed security protocols and compliance best practices throughout infrastructure solutions.
  
  
• Manage third-party vendor relationships and maintain adherence to technical standards and certifications.
  
  
• Deliver cost-effective compute solutions that support long-term scalability.
  
  
• Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of hands-on compute engineering experience, ideally in a complex or regulated industry.
  
  
• Windows and Unix Environment backgrounds
  
  
• Automation with Powershell and/or Python
  
  
• Strong knowledge of high-performance compute systems and optimisation best practices.
  
  
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve large-scale technical issues under pressure.
  
  
• Experience working within environments where data sensitivity and security are critical.
