Business Analyst – Banking & Risk | Contract | Hybrid (London)

Our client, a top-tier management consultancy, is seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst with strong SQL expertise and a deep understanding of the banking industry to support a critical project in risk management and financial products. This role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders to define and deliver key business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the project change lifecycle, including business requirements gathering, technical specification creation, test case development, and execution
• SQL & Data Analysis – interrogate data, build and execute test cases, and support system migration
• Work with banking products, derivatives, SFTs, collateral, and margin agreements
• Apply knowledge of credit risk, liquidity risk, and regulatory capital requirements
• Present progress updates in large working groups and liaise with senior business stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong SQL proficiency – ability to write queries and analyze data
• Banking product knowledge – particularly derivatives, SFTs, and collateral management
• Understanding of risk management and financial regulations
• Experience in system migrations (preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Consultancy Experience preffered, not mandatory
