This is an exciting chance to work within a highly regulated, enterprise-scale environment where security, scalability, and reliability are critical.
Industry Experience – A Must Have Due to the nature of the end customer, it is essential that you have experience within one of the following sectors:
  • Payments / Banking / Financial Services
  • FinTech
  • Gambling / Gaming
  • Or a similar mission-critical, large-scale infrastructure environment
This background is non-negotiable, as the environment requires engineers who understand the demands of secure, always-on platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD: Design, build, and maintain pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Containers & Orchestration: Deploy and manage workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop automation solutions with Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement IAM policies, manage secrets (Secrets Manager, Vault), and ensure best practice.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Configure and maintain monitoring/observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and AWS CloudTrail.
  • Cost Optimisation: Monitor and optimise AWS resource usage to drive efficiency.
Core Skills & Tools
  • Strong AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Proficiency in Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • CI/CD with Git-based tools
  • Containerisation with Docker & Kubernetes
  • Scripting with Python / Bash
  • Security-first mindset in regulated environments
What’s on Offer
  • 9-month initial contract with potential extensions
  • Opportunity to be the first hire in a new DevOps team for a global enterprise programme
  • Exposure to cutting-edge AWS cloud projects in a highly regulated industry
  • Competitive day rates, with two seniority levels under consideration (mid-level and senior)
If you’re an AWS DevOps Engineer with a background in payments, financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated environments, we’d love to hear from you.
