Engineering Manager

A top Atlanta-based technology firm is looking for an engineering manager to join their growing tech team on a full-time basis.

You will play a pivotal role in guiding and expanding their engineering team to drive the growth of our platform. This position involves leading a diverse team of fullstack software and test engineers, overseeing project planning, and ensuring seamless execution of technical initiatives. You collaborate closely with product management to align on requirements and develop robust execution plans, ensuring our software solutions meet the highest standards.

Qualifications

● 7+ years as a software engineer with operational experience leading high-performance engineering teams, and 2+ years of people management experience

● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to break down complex technical problems into small, releasable, user-valued features

● Ability to navigate between business and technical domains of software implementation projects, providing leadership in both

● Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor skilled software and test engineers

● Experience leading teams in Scrum/Agile methodologies

● Comprehensive knowledge of application software design patterns and emerging technologies

● Degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience

● A collaborative, positive attitude and strong sense of ownership

Bonus Qualifications

● High level proficiency with some/all of our technologies: Node.js, React, Mysql/Postgres, Kafka, PHP

● Experience creating and improving cloud-based systems and infrastructure

● Prior experience authoring technical documentation and requirements

● Master's degree or further education or experience in engineering, computer science or other technical related field
