QA Engineer

Xcede is exclusively partnering with a renowned client to build a new team for an innovative greenfield project. We are seeking skilled QA Engineers for Java testing roles to support our client's ambitious digital transformation efforts.

What You Will Do:

• Work within an Agile squad to test, build, and deliver industry-leading software focused on customer needs.
• Develop high-quality test automation and ensure acceptance criteria are consistently met through multiple iterations.
• Take responsibility for testing within your specific area and collaborate with product owners to create project backlog items with clear acceptance criteria.
• Analyze changes and create test cases that provide appropriate test coverage.
• Enhance the capabilities and processes of the Quality Engineering team by suggesting and supporting improvements, sharing knowledge, and promoting best practices in software testing.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in test automation with Java and Selenium.
• Proficiency in executing and verifying both automated and manual tests, as well as managing defects.
• Experience testing distributed, scalable, and highly available systems.
• Familiarity with testing software in cloud environments like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and the ability to write and decompose user stories.
• Understanding of the broader quality role required to enhance quality across the entire project delivery lifecycle and drive continuous improvement.
• Exposure to Agile, SCRUM, and DevOps delivery models.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
