DevOps Engineer - CONTRACT
3 Month initial contract with the potential of an extension
100% Remote

I am working with a multinational energy company who are looking for a DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of applications and infrastructure, facilitating prompt software development and deployment while supporting the current team. You will ensure critical applications and products are consistently improved and updated to align with business requirements and help identify and resolve complex incidents and problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications (NodeJS & Angular) in a DevOps environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and analyze user requirements.
  • Develop and implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with application systems in the production environment.
  • Write secure, clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle.
  • Maintain team documentation and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Optimize delivery of product backlog items for quality and speed-to-market.


Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Developer with proven software engineering skills.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating solutions using Azure cloud technologies.
  • Excellent technical computing, analysis, design, and development skills.
  • Proficiency in source control management such as Git.
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience with Azure components including Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blobs, AppInsights, Azure Keyvault, API Management, Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, AppGateway, CosmosDB, and ETL Tooling.
  • Programming skills in Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP, NodeJS, and Angular.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with agile development and Azure service principles.
  • Technical debugging skills for production issues.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD coding and security testing.
  • Experience developing CI/CD workflows and tools.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Processes.
