Project Manager Strategic Service Purchasing

As a Project Manager in the Strategic Service Purchasing department, you will play a vital role in streamlining procurement processes and establishing strong connections with key stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your negotiation skills, strategic mindset, and team management abilities to drive efficient and cost-effective purchasing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline and optimise the service procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilise excellent negotiation skills to draft and negotiate contracts with logistics partners in the local area and 37 other countries.
- Oversee the management of contracts and collaborate closely with supporting companies to establish and maintain strong partnerships through contractual agreements.
- Handle small-scale procurement cases, ensuring their successful execution within defined timelines and budgets.
- Take absolute responsibility for the job, demonstrating a hands-on mentality and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of project management principles, cost calculations, business administration, and international studies.
- Possess excellent social skills and negotiation abilities, confidently addressing issues and providing constructive feedback to team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements as necessary.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed studies or a comparable qualification, preferably with an economic and/or logistical orientation.
- Well-founded experience in (strategic) purchasing and contract drafting, ideally in the logistics sector.
- Excellent negotiation skills with high communication abilities, particularly in the field of logistics services.
- Strong analytical skills and a sense of responsibility, along with a hands-on mentality.
- Good understanding of numbers and confident handling of MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Fluent/native German language skills and very good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Post-university experience, preferably in (strategic) purchasing or logistics.
