Xcede have been engaged by a leading technology client based in central Berlin in their search for a Data Engineer. This is a permanent hire and will join a growing Data function of 16 in Germany.


The company is enhancing their Data Engineering offering due to increased demand and you will be working on various projects for customers around Germany. The company offer up to 5 days working from home a week at employees discretion and have a modern office in Berlin for those that prefer it.


This opportunity provides candidates with the chance to build solutions through to completion and be part of a larger project where they can see the specific impact of their work. In addition to this, you'll get exposure to numerous industries and customers, providing you with variety in your day to day work. Another benefit to this company is that due to the nature of the work you will be exposed to multiple cloud and technology vendors based on customer requirements - this is a great way to increase your expertise and develop new technology skills!



Technology Requirements:

Programming experience - ideally Python & SQL
Cloud databases - Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse Analytics etc
Experience deploying onto at least one Cloud Platform - AWS, GCP, Azure
Comfortable setting up infrastructure for data pipelines in the cloud
Linux administration experience is advantageous
Open-source data stack experience is advantageous

Furthermore, candidates should be comfortable developing clean code, able to work with different programming patterns and have an understanding of timelines within technology projects. Use of Git and similar is also advantageous as is the ability to engage with customers (particularly those who are less technical) and effectively explain technical details.


Finally, any experience working in the marketing industry would be very useful.
