Overview

My client is mid-way through a large, transformation data programme involving 4 delivery teams, 2 sponsors and 200+ stakeholders. One of the 4 key aspects of the programme is the implementation and roll-out of a new campaign management tool predominantly across marketing and editorial, to enable a joined-up multi-channel approach.

An opportunity for someone to project manager the final phase of the migration to this new tool. They have an agile, cross-functional delivery team covering marketing, data and digital functions. The engineers, although part of the team, manage their own backlog so this role would be critical in understanding the business problems to be solved, translating them into requirements (in the form of stories) for the teams to work on and ensuring the workflow between all parties runs smoothly.

Key areas of responsibility

*Day to day management of the delivery, coordinating workflow between marketing, data and engineering as well as other ad hoc functions where required
*Chair morning stand ups, sprint planning and sprint retro sessions
*Ensure team members are clear on their roles, responsibilities and deliverables within each sprint
*Update and maintain the marketing board, working with the Product Manager, BA and the team to ensure accuracy and usefulness
*Review all existing meetings and communications, optimising and changing where
*required for performance and efficiency
*Organise, plan and facilitate necessary workshops, ensuring clarity of purpose, clear agendas, outcomes required and the right people in the room to achieve those things
*Keep key stakeholders informed (tailoring communications and levels of detail appropriately)
*Facilitate and document decision making
*Identify risks and issues and keep a RAID log up to date, mitigating where possible, escalating where required
*Work with the Product Manager and team to decide the quarterly OKR
*Provide a weekly progress status for the programme sponsor meeting
*Coordinate 3rd party contract resources

Knowledge, skills and experience required

*Demonstrable Project Management and planning experience in an agile environment
*An understanding of Marketing processes (particularly digital) and technologies ideally experience in working within the media industry
*Structured thinking, ability to prioritise and think clearly through relevant questions
*with multiple variables
*Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
*Ability to grasp issues of a business nature and work with other team members to assess the technical implications and vice versa
*Proven leadership and people management expertise
