We are currently conducting a search for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our client's dynamic department based in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Our client has a fast-growing Supply and Logistics Department known for its cost-driven, efficient, and reliable approach. They meticulously analyse, evaluate, and make decisions that optimise costs while ensuring the timely delivery of goods to their clients. With a strong focus on business acumen and independent working, they are committed to providing efficient and reliable logistics solutions. As a Project Lead in their Supply and Logistics Department, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and make a significant impact on the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Independently oversee and execute projects related to supply chain planning, network planning, and logistics design planning. Ensure timely delivery of projects while meeting budget and quality standards.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain. Analyse workflows, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage closely with clients to understand their logistics requirements, align project objectives, and offer consultative support. Maintain regular communication to address concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge of storage solutions and logistics planning to guide project activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse layouts, inventory management, and intra-logistics processes.
  • Analytical Approach: Utilise your strong analytical skills to delve into details, conduct data-driven analysis, and generate insights for informed decision-making. Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration with internal teams, delegating tasks and providing guidance to achieve project goals. Coordinate resources and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management. Implement innovative solutions and identify opportunities for process optimisation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with expertise in supply chain planning, network planning, or logistics design planning. Prior exposure to the logistics industry, especially storage solutions, is preferred.
  • Educational Background: bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in data analysis, process optimization, and making informed decisions based on quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Independent Worker: Proven track record of working independently, taking ownership of projects, and driving results. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business principles and cost-driven decision-making. Ability to evaluate financial implications, assess risks, and contribute to achieving organizational objectives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics technologies, including hardware and software solutions. Proficiency in leveraging technology to streamline supply chain processes and optimize overall operational efficiency.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Language Skills: Fluent proficiency in German is mandatory, as this role requires extensive communication in German. Proficiency in English is highly desirable for engaging in international projects.
