Hybrid Principle Data/Software Engineer

Data Engineer - London - Adtech - Python (pushing data) /Java (storage of data) - Spark - Flink - AWS - Kubernetes - Mentoring
Xcede are ecstatic to be partnering up with one of the most established data practises in the UK at present! This global adtech company are a huge disrupter and have revolutionized the engagement experience of consumers on a global scale. The significantly scaling company are looking for 6 hybrid principle Data/Software Engineers who will work in small teams of 6 within the data squad - encompassing a collaborative and "everyone is heard" approach!

Required Skills (at least 3 of the following):
*Python / Java (both considered)
*AWS
*Kubernetes
*NoSQL - PostgreSQL or Apache Cassandra e.t.c.
*Distributed streaming (kafka)
*Building data pipelines at scale
*Live streaming experience with either kinesis, kafka, spark or flink

The Role:
*Working with huge sets of data (utilising big data technologies such as flink and spark)
*Assisting to solve complex business problems and ultimately help the organisation provide real value with the data when collaborating closely with the Data Product teams
*Evaluating and deploying large data infrastructure sets
*Help to engage the customer even further into the brand (technical challenges and exposure with machine learning and end to end APIs
*Data pipelining - automating and building at scale
*Maintaining and testing data quality and the stability of the existing data platform
*Engaging with key stakeholders in the business - mainly data scientists, product team and developers
