This FTSE100 biopharmaceutical company has a phenomenal opportunity for a Principal Deep Learning Engineer to solve some of the most exciting data & prediction problems in drug discovery. With one of the most outstanding Data Science divisions worldwide (both in terms of quantity and quality), they are experiencing rapid continuous growth and are now looking for an experienced Deep Learning Engineer, who will join an established team and help create tools that will advanced the standard of healthcare improving the lives of millions of patients across the globe.

The Principal Deep Learning Engineer Role

Coming in as a Principal Deep Learning Engineer, you will have a stellar opportunity to develop your technical skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Investigating innovative machine learning and statistical techniques for health problems
Liaising closely with scientists, and other deep learning engineers and data scientists, to turn medical problems into data science challenges
Designing and implementing machine learning pipelines
Designing, developing and deploying machine learning models into production
Solving problems such as disease progression analysis in CT scans
Reporting analyses and insights to non-technical stakeholders and audiences

The Successful Principal Deep Learning Engineer

If you come from a PhD background in either a STEM subject or maths/engineering, coupled with a solid coding knowledge and industrial experience applying deep learning solutions, this could be a fantastic next step for you in your career within the world's leading biopharmaceutical giant.

Desired Skills and Background of the Principal Deep Learning Engineer:
Solid coding experience in Python
1+ years' experience with a deep learning framework like Tensorflow or PyTorch
PhD background in either STEM or maths/engineering
Strong software development skills
