Principal Data Analyst

We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst to join our growing company in London. You will be responsible for providing robust analytical support through data analysis, statistical modelling, machine learning methods, and application of optimization techniques based on industry standard methodologies1.
As a Principal Data Analyst, you will:
- Develop / enhance business and functional requirements in partnership with business and technology teams
- Partner with Office of Data Governance, Business and technology teams in planning and rolling out the functional capabilities associated with Metadata management product by configuring interfaces to source metadata from various sources
- Create project tasks/plans
- Troubleshoot to resolve incidents related to data tools
- Support installs and configurations of data products
- Mentor peers in the use, administration, and customization of data tools and applications
- Develop custom applications using the data APIs and industry standard programming languages to meet business needs
- Manage tickets and automation
- Summarize results of analyses in written reports and oral presentations as required
- Assist with data analytics initiatives to include the development of data formats for identifying workforce trends and opportunities2
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Science, Finance, Education, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, data modelling, data quality assurance, data visualisation, or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with SAS, SPSS, R, or other analytical tools
- Knowledge of system development life cycle, IT concepts, relational databases, and industry-recognised data modelling patterns and standards1
- Experience with Data Center Orchestration tools such as OO, NA, SA1
- Experience with Puppet environment or other automation tools
- Experience with leading a team and managing stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language2
- A curious and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
This is a full-time permanent position based in London. We offer a competitive salary of £120k + car + bonus + stock. We do not provide sponsorship for this role.
