This leading marketing and media analytics consultancy has a phenomenal opportunity for a talented Lead Data Scientist to join at the helm of their award-winning data science team and help manage a team of 7 current Data Scientists. This is a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist looking to have both hands-on responsibilities alongside ownership of a team and of the company's general data science roadmap. In this role, you would have the chance to work on a variety of projects and see the direct business value of the analytical models you build.

The Lead Data Scientist Role

Coming in as a Lead Data Scientist, you will have a stellar opportunity to develop your technical and client-facing skill sets in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading projects ranging from optimal advertising budget allocators and ad bidding algorithms to product recommendation engines
Working with a director to develop the data science roadmap
Streamlining and automating current data science processes and provide a fresh outlook on current procedures
Managing a team of 7 data scientists
Understanding and building relationships with the company's key clients, gathering requirements, delivering projects, relating actionable insights to clients and stakeholders

The Successful Lead Data Scientist

Desired Skills and Background of the Lead Data Scientist:
Commercial experience using MMM (marketing mix modelling)
Ideally experience working on optimisation problems / developing genetic algorithms and in machine learning
Wider academic background in Machine Learning / Statistics / Mathematics / Data Science / Physics / Engineering
Experience working in the marketing / media industry
R/Python experience, SQL is a bonus
