Lead Data Scientist - E-Commerce

Xcede's Data Science recruitment team have partnered with one of the best known food delivery companies in the world in their search for a Lead Data Scientist. With a huge customer base to explore and a pre-existing data science team in the US, our client now want build out a data science team under their pre-existing Analytics Division in the UK base (30 minutes by train from London) to help improve their EU offering. The role will primarily be a hands-on position focusing on customer behaviour modelling, LTV models, recommendation engine builds, forecasting, and optimisation modelling.

The chosen candidate will have an opportunity to work with a major brand who have been incredibly successful in 2020 despite recent events, and who are looking to build an entire data science team under their new hire. There will also be an option to work remotely for most of the week (2 days in the office) post lockdown, too. It's the perfect chance for someone who feels ready to be a Data Science Manager, but who hasn't had the chance yet aside from some mentoring of junior team members.

Requirements:

- MSc in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science (or a similarly related area)
- Expert knowledge of relevant statistical and machine learning methods for projects within the retail / e-commerce industry.
- Strong Python skills.
- A proven background of non-technical stakeholder engagement.
