IT Support Engineer

Start: ASAP

My client are looking for an IT Support Engineer to work with their ITS Productivity Team. You would be responsible for delivering Technical Support services to employees based in the UK Region and works as part of a team supporting the EALA area. The scope of work includes workstation lifecycle management, end-user technical support, and local infrastructure support.


* Minimum 3 years' experience working in a medium to large IT environment
* Strong senior stakeholder management skills
* Windows 10 and Office 365 client skills
* Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills with networking equipment
* Familiarity with ITIL preferred

Key Responsibilities

* Basic laptop / PC management e.g. power, screen management, troubleshooting, fault finding, network testing
* Microsoft Applications including Excel formula formatting & filtering etc and PowerPoint
* Outlook exchange including shared mailbox & distribution lists
* Understanding of Network Architecture (TCP/IP/DNS/Active Directory / File Mapping)
* Mobile Phone experience - Configuring mail services and application software
* Customer facing skills e.g. follow up on cases / vendors and explain to users without using technical language


* Follow ITS processes and provide support to users e.g. incident, problem, configuration, change, and knowledge management
* Manage customer expectations to maximize end-user productivity and ensure a positive experience.
* High awareness of global support processes & ops technologies e.g. monitoring tools
* Understand and influence the environment architecture
* Ensure local architecture is current and compliant with the architectural blueprint
* Document the development centre IT environment
* Research and implement service enhancements
* Manage implementation of the IT environment e.g. anything that connects to the LAN or telephone system
* Manage process for deploying laptops, system access, software upgrades and any other on-site deployment related activity
* Ensure systems security including process for providing and discontinuing various levels of systems access in the local development environment
* Ensure all data relating to customer development is appropriately partitioned and protected from unauthorised access
