Head of Data Strategy

Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead our team of data strategy professionals across CRM, MarTech, marketing automation / campaign management as well as broader data-driven marketing
  • Consult with senior clients to understand their businesses, marketing challenges and design data solutions for a range of needs from first-party data strategies to broader digital transformation
  • Develop deep understanding of our clients' tech stacks to drive maximum value from their data and marketing ecosystems
  • Develop the breadth and depth of our data strategy services including our emerging capabilities across MarTech consulting, CRM Marketing Automation and broader Data-Driven Marketing
  • Develop our consultative capabilities - delivering robust discovery and auditing approaches through to broader solution design covering people, processes and technology
  • Leading all stages of client relationships from solution design and pitching through to discovery, onboarding and ongoing development
  • Work with other senior leads in the business to define and sell-in an integrated approach to data-driven marketing, including omnichannel first-party data strategies across marketing and media
  • Continually elevate our craft by introducing new solutions, skillsets and approaches, particularly in the creative insight, data and tech strategy, automation and optimisation
  • Develop innovative approaches to data solution design - leveraging diverse datasets to decode consumer behaviour and gain a deeper understanding of performance and headroom
  • Own the commercial management for the Data Strategy team, ensuring an adequate pipeline of activities to maximise utilisation and unlock growth opportunities
  • Leverage knowledge of wider analytical techniques such as predictive modelling, segmentation and NLP / visual analytics to develop new routes to tackling client requirements
  • Working with analysts and performance marketing specialists to embed best practice measurement, reporting and insight generation at the heart of all our work
  • Act as a senior ambassador for data and analytics across the group, showcasing the value it can add to creative, content and experiences.
  • Foster collaboration across our global network of data and performance practitioners, embedding best practice, continued learning and development
  • Manage, mentor and inspire data team members, recognise and nurture talent and build a high performing team culture

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Previous consultancy experience - scoping, solution design and costings, leading transformation projects
  • Broad experience across a range of marketing data disciplines, with deeper experience one or more of the following: developing marketing data strategies, CRM & marketing automation, audience focussed marketing planning, marketing measurement & insights, social & cultural analytics, performance media
  • Familiarity with and ideally hands on experience in one or more of the following: MarTech & CDPs (Adobe, Salesforce Marketing clouds), advertising DSPs & walled gardens (DV360, Facebook ads), digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Sprinklr, Datorama)
  • Experience of leading both strategic and campaign delivery teams
  • Excellent communication / data storytelling skills
  • An active interest in how data can be used to unlock creative and behavioural insights
  • Commercially focussed, comfortable identifying and landing growth opportunities., managing team finances,
  • Capable administrator, willing and able to manage multiple workstreams, navigate internal processes and lead team recruitment, growth and development
