Role Overview: As a Full Stack Lead Engineer at [Company Name], you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of our customers' Developer Portal (Backstage) and the implementation of their Ansible Automates Platform. Your expertise in patterns enablement for EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) will be crucial in ensuring the scalability and efficiency of our solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled professional who is proficient in technologies such as GitLab, Backstage.io, Ansible, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of the customers' Developer Portal (Backstage).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Ansible Automates Platform.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on best practices and methodologies.
  • Configure and manage GitLab repositories for version control and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
  • Implement and optimize patterns for EKS to enhance scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying Backstage Developer Portals.
  • Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and orchestration tasks.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, with a focus on patterns enablement for EKS.
  • In-depth knowledge of version control systems, particularly GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Backstage.io is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in leading engineering teams or projects.
  • Certification in Kubernetes or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
