Xcede are excited to be partnering with an industry leading multi-national retailer who are looking to hire a number of Data Scientists from mid-level to Senior level.

They are currently harnessing data science approaches and state of the art machine learning techniques to build end to end solutions which will help the business to drive further value from data and create personalised experiences for their customers.

You will work on a diverse range of projects across a huge range of predictive capabilities, researching new approaches to push the boundaries of what is possible. You will also get the opportunity to lead on improving interesting products and exploring new business and new sources of data to leverage against an already data rich estate.

Key skills/experience required:
*Significant experience as a Data Scientist in a commercial or R&D setting
*PhD or MSc in a numerate subject is preferred: Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent is highly desirable
*Significant experience applying effective statistical and machine learning models on real world commercial problems
*Comprehensive proficiency with Python toolkits
*Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases
*Expert in mining large and complex data sets - both structured and unstructured extraction of data, transformation and application
*Can demonstrate deep statistical knowledge to lead on providing actionable insights into business problems
*Proven experience of developing cloud-based machine learning services using one or more cloud providers (preferably GCP).
*Experience of modern software engineering practices, such as SCRUM/Agile, micro-services and containerisation (including Docker and Kubernetes)
