Do you have experience in natural language or speech processing? Would you be keen to put it into practice within an early-stage FinTech startup and have a direct impact on the early product development?
The Company
This disruptive FinTech startup, backed by one of the UK's leading tech incubator programs, is building a product to extract key insights from audio communications using NLP and speech processing techniques. They are immediately looking for an inaugural data scientist that can take ownership of the data science roadmap and early product development.
The Data Scientist Role
Coming in as a Data Scientist, you will have a stellar opportunity to develop your technical skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leveraging experience to explore new data science / machine learning techniques to improve the core product
Iterating on the existing ML algorithms and deploying them into production
Building out infrastructure to be able to run the algorithms on AWS or GCP
The Successful Data Scientist
If you've come from a STEM academic background, coupled with at least two years of commercial experience as a Data Scientist where you've worked with unstructured data, this could be a fantastic next step for you in your career within a disruptive FinTech startup.
Desired Skills and Background of the Data Scientist:
Dedicated commercial experience building NLP / speech processing algorithms
PhD / MSc in a STEM subject
Good coding experience in Python and the typical ML stack
If successful, you will be offered a highly competitive salary paying between £60,000 and £80,000 dependent on your breadth of experience.
