Data Product Manager

Xcede are delighted to be working with an industry leading global software and service investor. Their combined portfolio put themselves in the top 3 largest tech firms in Europe, with a total revenue of over $10 billion. The role would be helping manage the execution and strategy of multiple impactful data initiatives.

They are looking for an individual whose background is within data and analytics, with the desire and experience to working strategically to provide compelling data products, alongside both senior members of the data team as well as working in tandem with their portfolio companies to understand them and work together with end customers of these data products.

Required skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a data and or analytics-based role, alongside product management experience in data products.
  • Working and succeeding within both top-level performance and fast paced cultures.
  • Excellent STEM degree with quantitative academic credentials.
  • Technical background: project-based work with data science and programming langauges (e.g., Python, SQL, dbt)
  • Some experience of cloud based platforms would be a bonus (e.g., AWS, Redshift, Snowflake)
  • To be able to organise and prioritise several parallel workstreams.
  • Being proactive - meeting deadlines, the ability to efficiently communicate and making sure that processes are completed in the correct way.

The team you'll be working with:

The Data Analytics team currently work on 4 data products, with the aim to make that as many as 7 in 2 years' time. The team of 40, filled with experienced and hardworking individuals, provide detailed information to senior management team to help to continue and understand their growth potential.

Some of the things that team work on are:

  • Defining the data of their portfolio companies.
  • Creating a futureproof setup for data, underpinning sustainable data exploitation.
  • Using ML and AI based commercials projects, to drive value creation.
  • Monetising underlying data e.g., strengthening existing product portfolios, or the creation of new ones.
  • Develop data assets and tools that can be utilised in a cross-portfolio manner.
  • Using alternative data and advanced analytics to support investment sourcing, diligence, and conversion.
