Senior Data Engineer- Technical Lead

Area: E-Commerce

Location: Berlin

Salary: 55.000 - 70.000 Euro

One of the biggest digital companies in Germany is currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer joining their team in Berlin. The role:

- Provision of BI solutions (DWH, ETL, monitoring, etc.)

- Help setting up and developing the integration of big data

- Work packages within projects

- Operation of the BI application (monitoring, alerting)

- Technical and substantive tests, creating use cases alongside the BI analytics team

- Ad-hoc requests for data, reporting or analysis questions

- Creating and managing reports, dashboards and KPIs

Your profile:

- A degree in (business) computer science, computer science, natural sciences, business economics with a focus on (economic) or a comparable education

- Several years of experience with Python or a similar programming language (e.g. Java, R)

- Expertise with cloud storage solutions (S3, Redshift, BigQuery) and relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL)

- Knowledge within non-relational databases (MongoDB, Hadoop, MapReduce)

- Advanced experience with ETL processes, API integration and automated processes of unstructured and structured data

- Proficient in connecting and modelling data in SQL and including it into associated reporting or visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Qlikview)
