Xcede's Data Engineering team are currently working with a pioneer within the Adtech & MarTech space who are looking to shake up the 'Scottish Data Space' with a brand new office in beautiful Edinburgh and to achieve this monumental shakeup, they're looking to hire a Data Engineer to their growing and thought-leading Scottish data team.

Your role would be to grow, develop and build the platform. Working alongside the wider global data team at the heart of the platform handling vast swathes of data (300gb+ an hour) and coding is typically Python or Scala and not just sitting in a dark room but partnering with the team around you to handle challenging problems with exceptional solutions.

Initially, this might seem daunting but the company has grown because it prides itself on approaching data with an inquisitive eye and you'd be at the heart of this, within a team that's looking to take on more responsibility by the month using cutting edge technologies (Kafka, Cassandra, Redshift, Postgres, Druid etc.)


-Designing, Developing and implementing Data Pipelines and ETL Processes across Batch, near real-time and real-time data.
-Handling the cloud architecture with a view to ingesting streaming data from both non-relational and relational databases.
-Working alongside the wider Data Engineering team to build out solutions.


-Strong commercial experience with Python or Scala.
-Strong commercial experience with one of the following cloud data architectures (AWS - Amazon Web Services, GCP - Google Cloud Platform).
-Good commercial experience with orchestration frameworks (Oozie, Airflow, Luigi)
-Good commercial experience with relational & non-relational databases.
