Our client who is a data consultancy based in London specilaising in delivering interesting data work for public sector accounts.

The role will be working on:

Ad hoc consultancy projects, for example, data visualisations, automating data processes, report writing, Producing standardised data products (such as annual education dashboards) The role covers both of these types of work as well as business development activities. Specific responsibilities are outlined below.

Work on consultancy projects Depending on your strengths and interests, your consultancy project work could include:

Producing data analysis and visualisations using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Excel or other analytical tools.

Designing and setting up data processes, for example to automatically update dashboards for clients, Writing reports and summaries of the implications of our analysis, Research, for example interviewing stakeholders, Project managing the running of small to mid-size consulting engagements, including managing junior team members on projects, Quality assurance, including ensuring that client deliverables meet our high standard.

We're looking for a smart, motivated applicant with the following skills and qualities: First rate data analysis skills, with demonstrable experience of manipulating data to pull out key messages for clients in a business context, A high level of Microsoft Excel knowledge is essential, with experience of other analysis/database tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, SQL or other relational databases being desirable , Some coding experience is advantageous (e.g., Python, R or VBA), as would be experience of statistics, such as significance testing Able to consistently produce accurate and insightful client ready outputs Strong experience of managing delivery of multiple projects/outputs concurrently, Experience of supporting earlier career team members in their professional development is preferred, but the capability and desire to do this is essential , Able to cultivate respect from clients through your subject knowledge and client handling skills, Good written communication skills, with experience of producing reports and slide presentations for lay-audiences, using jargon-free language, Ability to speak with confidence and composure.
