Location: UK wide based.
Wold leading global eCommerce organisation is looking for a Site Manager (Electrical) for an initial 4-month contract with a view to further extension.
The Site Manager's primary objective is to ensure the safety and quality practice of a solar project installation at various facilities.
You will be wholly responsible for overseeing all aspects of solar installations at warehouses, some of which are operational, and others that are still under construction.
*Ensuring compliance with all safety protocol is being followed along with performing safety inspections, performing safety audits and performing safety spot checks on the Developers and EPC's to insure proper PPE is being utilized.
*Ensuring compliance with the terms of the PPA contract and supporting contractual documents are being met.
*Ensuring that the solar vendor protects the building and equipment during installation.
*Ensuring that the vendor installs the solar energy system in accordance with approved project plans and industry best practices.
*Coordination with the solar vendor, Landlord Construction Managers, and Superintendents (for sites under construction), and/or site staff (for operational buildings) to provide the best possible customer experience and accommodate the needs of the site staff and/or other construction teams on site.
*Daily reporting and communication, as it applies to projects actively under construction.
*General project planning, scheduling and construction oversight, ensuring that the solar vendor is operating safely and providing the best possible customer experience. Working with the solar vendor to accommodate the needs of the site staff and/or other construction teams on site.
*Work experience in commercial building construction, remodeling, or tenant improvements.
*Bachelor's Degree in engineering or architecture (desired but not essential)
*Supervisory experience in a building construction trade.
*Strong supervisory ability.
*Outstanding professional communication skills, in written, verbal, electronic, and interpersonal media in English
*Knowledge of all phases of building construction, including work commonly done by the various building crafts.
*Knowledge of electrical, roofing, and structural systems.
*Knowledge of building materials, tools, and machines.
*Ability to read blueprints and specifications for building trades.
*Hands-on experience as a professional electrician in the solar industry is strongly preferred
