AGILE BUSINESS ANALYST / DATA / MIGRATION / CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

Agile Business Analyst - Data programme
Rate: £400PD
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 Months

Overview

My client is mid-way through a large, transformation data programme involving 4 delivery teams, 2 sponsors and 200+ stakeholders. One of the 4 key aspects of the programme is the implementation and roll-out of a new campaign management tool predominantly across marketing and editorial, to enable a joined-up multi-channel approach.

An opportunity for an Agile BA to join the team for the final phase of our migration to this new tool. They have an agile, cross-functional delivery team covering marketing, data and digital functions. The engineers, although part of the team, manage their own backlog so this role would be critical in understanding the business problems to be solved, translating them into requirements (in the form of stories) for the teams to work on and ensuring the workflow between all parties runs smoothly.

Key areas of responsibility

*Understand campaign and data priorities
*Define, capture and prioritise requirements
*Create user stories and acceptance criteria for the requirements, alongside any assumptions or questions
*Arrange and chair requirement refinement sessions
*Ensure stories are complete and accurate before being picked up by dev
*Update and maintain the (marketing) Trello board, working with the Product Manager, Project Manager and the team to ensure accuracy and usefulness
*Attend stand ups
*Attend sprint retros
*Organise, plan and facilitate necessary workshops, ensuring clarity of purpose, clear agendas, outcomes required and the right people in the room to achieve those things
*Liaise with key stakeholder groups (Data & Insight, Product, Marketing and Engineering)
*Provide advice and guidance on what to build when to release as much value as possible as early as possible
*Assist with and input to key project documentation

Knowledge, skills and experience required

*Demonstrable BA experience in an agile environment and using agile tools/solutions
*An understanding of Marketing processes (particularly digital) and technologies
*Experience of working with data products
*Ideally experience working within the media industry
*Structured thinking, ability to prioritise and think clearly through relevant questions with multiple variables
*Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
*Ability to grasp issues of a business nature and work with other team members to assess the technical implications and vice versa
